Jun. 2nd, 2012 04:43 am[Everything was going so well. She was exhausted, bruised, scratched up, filthy, and excited as hell about her first "tour" as a would-be hero. All she could think about first, though, was checking in on Ed, whom she hadn't seen all Port. When she saw his door and room changed back to Barge standard, she just stood there a while, feeling herself slowly going numb inside.]
[After showering and changing mechanically and grabbing a four hour nap, Wanda did her best to stay in her room and keep her grief as hidden as possible. But every damn thing reminded her of him at the moment and finally she had to get out. She brought Fozzie, who was gamely on Teddy Bear Duty despite his giant size and stayed right next to her the whole time.]
[So now she's out by the back of the greenhouse complex, near what's left of the compost heap, back against the wall and her head on the patient dog's shoulder. Every once in a while he cranes his neck to peer at her and whines softly. She's mostly stopped crying, and instead is in the "Goddamn it, Barge," stage, scowling thoughtfully. She really liked him, and now that he's gone she's just trying to get back to a place where she can function.]
