 Hi! Me again.

There’s a lot going on, and some of it is kind of crazy-incomprehensible if you haven’t lived here for a while. So…let’s play a little game. Go back to when you were a complete noob on the Barge and didn’t know anything. What do you wish that someone had told you about this place sooner rather than later? I'm not so much talking about the usual things we get told, but the stuff you learn that aren't usually brought up to new people and maybe should be. 

Yes, I'm keeping this for posterity, yes, I'll share it with other new people once they show up.

[After lunch, Wanda grabs an apple and a bottle of cola and brings them down to Loki's door, shifting her weight nervously in front of it before knocking. She can't imagine going to a god's door without an offering, because, well--yeah. Besides, she is about to mess up his room, and restorative magic or not she feels a little bad about it.]

Yeah, I get you. I got pulled in a little but managed to calm down and back off. Maybe it's just that this is one of those closed little communities where everyone is in each other's face with whatever problems or angst or whatever is going on.

Think I will figure out the gym more so I have a place to destress.

Thanks! Well, just slap stuff on this post as you think of it, I totally don't care when and in what order it shows up. It's kind of a work in progress anyway. If I get a lot of stuff I'll edit the main post with a reference list. It shouldn't be hard.

[He needs to occasionally warden filter people, since so many of them fake being wardens early on. Though he's more suspicious of average thirty-something middle class white men than girls like her. [Loki threw open the door, grinning at Wanda. For a god, he looked awfully normal. He wore jeans and a t-shirt. His room was minimalist, with a simple bed, table and chair, and some sort of animal fur for a rug. The only things that looked odd were a bathroom attached to the side, an electrical outlet, and a cat carrier tucked in the corner, with a mewling tabby cat in there.]

Come in, come in. [He says, gesturing for Wanda to enter the room.]

Hi! Thanks. [She pads in, offering him the soda.] I um...wasn't allowed to bring a beer. Sorry.

[The corners of her eyes crinkle as she noticed the kitty, and she twiddles her fingers. Then she unshoulders her bag.] I brought some stuff that wouldn't break if it got flung around some.

Yeah, I admit I need to work on lowering my tolerance for creeps. I had to live with creeps and jerks for a while and I kinda had to just put up with it.

Hello!

1. The floods are a magical phenomena that occurs approximately every 2.72 weeks. They can involve physical changes or mental changes, always involuntary, and and may effect everyone, certain groups, or people at random.

2. The ports are when the ship docks, happening approximately every 3.91 weeks. Some will be harmless, but most will be dangerous. If you choose to disembark from the ship, you will not be allowed to return until it is ready to set sail again. Most ports will strip you of any supernatural powers you have.

3. Barge comas are a phenomena currently being studied. They didn't always happen, but it isn't known when they started. A person will go into a stasis where they do not require any biological needs and often will only feel as though they have been in a normal sleep. These can last anywhere from several days to several weeks.
